Micro Switch
A microswitch is a type of electrical switch commonly used in industry to detect the presence or absence of an object or to detect a change in position or pressure. The switch is called “micro” because its size is relatively small compared to other switches. A microswitch consists of a small actuator, a set of contacts, and a spring. When you push and release the actuator, the spring moves and opens and closes the contacts. The movement of the contacts can be used to activate electrical circuits, such as turning a motor on or off or setting off an alarm.
