A photo sensor, also known as a photosensor or a photocell, is an electronic component that detects and measures light levels.

Photo sensors work by converting light energy into electrical energy. When light hits the surface of the sensor, a charge is created that is proportional to the intensity of the light.
This charge is converted into a signal that can be measured by a microcontroller or other electronic device.
